Reminders & Notifications
Learn how PullPro helps keep your pull request (PR) workflow on track by automatically notifying your team when action is needed. There are two primary types of notifications: those sent to Public Channels and those sent via Direct Messages.
Public Channels
Public channel reminders are posted in Slack channels where your PRs are shared. These reminders ensure the entire team is aware of PRs that need attention, helping to streamline the review process.
Channel Reminders
- If a PR remains unclaimed for too long, a reminder will be posted in the channel where the PR was originally shared. This reminder serves as a prompt for teammates to pick up and review the PR.
- Public reminders continue to be sent periodically until the PR is either claimed, closed, or moved back to draft status.

Direct Messages
Direct message reminders or notifications target individual team members. If a PR needs attention, the app will privately notify the relevant person, encouraging them to take action.
Review Request
If a PR has been waiting on a review for a certain period of time, a private message will be sent directly to a team member, asking them to review the PR. To determine the recipient, the app give preference to team members who are active, not in a huddle and have claimed fewer reviews than the channel average.
Merge Reminder
If a PR has been approved but not merged for a certain period of time, a private reminder will be sent directly to the author of the PR.

Review Reminder
If a team member has claimed a review but not left any comments for a certain period of time, a private reminder will be sent directly to the reviewer.
Ask to Claim
If a team member starts leaving comments on an unclaimed PR or approves an unclaimed PR, a notification will be sent to the team member asking them if they wish to claim the PR.
Notification Settings
Notifications and reminders are only sent during working hours. Refer to working hours to learn more about how to set your team’s hours.
